22 days of living aboard our boat

22 days of living aboard our boat

It’s hard to believe that 3 and a half weeks ago we were driving off into the sunset, trudging the very long road to our Happy Destiny.

Tonight, I was going to upload a video boat tour, but was unable to figure it all out.  This blog thing is new to me and I still need some practice.  One day I’ll be proficient. 😂

This week looked a lot like last week.  We are still working towards checking off the list.  Again, without Jim, and his amazing skill and knowledge, we may never get out of this marina and move forward towards the Great Loop journey.

I found  a women’s meeting last Monday.  It was nice to connect with a group of ladies who seemed to understand what a major life change I am experiencing.  It’s very important to me to stay connected to my Recovery. I read to Jim every morning from an online sobriety site.  We both enjoy that time. My spiritual path has been greatly enriched in the past few weeks.  You can’t help but understand how big God is when in the evening you see things like this-

Jim has been under the weather the last few days. He’s a trooper though, and managed to continue to get his chores completed.  I made him chicken soup to help him feel better.

All in all its been a productive week.  Jim fixed the boats air horn, we bought and cut out carpet for our pretty sun deck and the helm station area. It’s very nice.  Jim continues to try to figure out how to get a good antenna connection so we can watch TV.  I have no clue what’s happening in the world.  Worse than that, I rarely know what day it is and I probably couldn’t tell you the date with out looking at my phone. Today I washed the car, I fished for a while, and I cleaned house.  Monday, we went to Bradenton to a Simon and Garfunkel tribute concert at the Neel Auditorium, State College of Florida.  The Guthrie Brothers performed.  It was so cool and we both enjoyed it very much.  We are old! I swear, almost every single person in the sold out Auditorium had white hair! Jim calls us “geezers”, and that’s ok with me.

I hope this note finds you all happy, healthy, and content.
